A Mobile Eye Care Unit visited Parker Hannifin’s Bazargaon plant — and 188 employees got their eyes tested without missing a day of work.

Most people put off eye tests. There is always something more urgent — a shift to cover, a
queue to avoid, a trip across town that never quite happens. For employees at Parker Hannifin’s plant in Bazargaon, that excuse was taken away entirely.
On 5th and 9th June 2026, Deesha’s Mobile Eye Care Unit set up camp inside the factory itself. Over two days, 188 employees walked in, sat down, and had their eyes properly checked - many for the first time in a long while.
“By bringing eye care to the workplace, the team made it easy for every
employee to say yes to a check-up.”
What the Tests Covered
Each check-up was thorough. Employees had their eyesight measured, were screened for
refractive errors (the most common cause of blurry vision), and were checked for other eye
conditions that can develop quietly over time. Anyone found to have a vision problem was not simply handed a leaflet and sent on their way. They received clear advice, and where needed, were referred to a specialist for further care.
The camp was a success in numbers, but also in spirit. Employees showed up. They participated. And the message was clear: when healthcare is made easy and accessible, people take it seriously.
The Team That Made It Happen
Organising a medical camp inside a working factory takes careful planning. A big thank-you goes to Ms. Nithya and Ms. Aishwarya from Parker Hannifin, who handled all the coordination on the ground. Getting nearly 200 employees scheduled and through the clinic — without disrupting the plant — was no easy task. Special thanks to Mr. Amit Soporee, Mr. Sachin Puranik, Mr. Kirubakaran.
The camp was led by Mr. Swapnil Gawande, Trustee of the Deesha Education Foundation. The hands-on work was done by the Mobile Eye Care Unit team: Pranali Chambhare, Himanshu Band, and Anil Deshmukh.
Why It Matters
Eye problems are common, often painless in the early stages, and very easy to ignore. Many
people simply do not realise their vision has slipped until someone actually checks it. Left
untreated, poor eyesight affects work performance, safety, and quality of life.
That is exactly why Deesha Education Foundation takes its clinic on the road. The goal is simple: remove every reason a person might have for skipping a check-up. No travel, no queues, no time off. Just walk in, get tested, and walk out knowing the state of your eyesight. If this camp at Bazargaon is anything to go by, the approach works. And with 188 employees now better informed about their eye health, it may well have made a real difference.
