The Gift of vision for farmers

On August 18, 2019, a full day free eye check-up camp was organized by the Deesha Education Foundation's Mobile Eye Care Unit in APMC Market (Krushi Uttapaan Bajar Samiti) at Karanja Lad, District Washim of Maharashtra State. The main object of the camp was to support the farmer by providing them eye care facilities.

This camp was organized by Former MLA Mr. Prakash Dahake and coordinated Mr. Prajwal Gulalkari, Mr. Himanshu Band, Mr. Avi Khedekar, Mr. Pankaj Karve, Mr. Nilesh Khedekar, Mr. Sameer Deshpande, Mr. Nilesh Ghude, Mr. Manoj Pathe and Mr. Pravin Joshi. Mr. Swapnil Arun Gawande, Trustee of DEESHA Group has sensitized everyone about eye and organ donation during the camp.


In total 170 patients were examined, out of which 30 were selected for a Cataract Surgery. People with refractive errors were given spectacles. Free customized spectacles were distributed to needy people.


The patients were examined by the Retina Specialist Dr. Sweety Gote- Dahatonde along with Ophthalmic Assistants Mr. Abhishek Dubey and Mr. Salman Parvez along with other technical staff. The camp was held under the overall supervision of Karanja Medical Association, Dr. Ajay Kant, Dr. Vijay Jawaharmalani, Dr. Ram Gunjate, Dr. Sushil Deshpande and Dr. Shardul Dongaonkar.
